Library applying for grant to make building ADA accessible

Bessie Allen raised a good question about installing a handicap ramp at the library in her letter on May 9, and I’m sure it’s one that many people in our area have wondered.

For years, the library has realized that it needs to do something to make the building ADA accessible. In 2011, we started working with David Strauss, a principal architect with SHKS Architects and a board member of the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, to discuss solutions.
