The Soul Café Board has been formed and is now focusing on writing its by-laws, incorporation, nonprofit status, and securing a suitable location. The purpose of the Soul Café is to provide a safe gathering place for all individuals in a Christ-centered environment.
The Soul Café Board members are Harry Schafer, chairman; Suzanne Meeks, vice chairman; Ron Newton, director; Jan Collard, secretary; and Lee Egnew, treasurer.
It will be open to all ages and walks in life. Regular meetings at present are held the first and third Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in the Ritzville Public Library basement and are open to the public.
Anyone interested in becoming involved in the Soul Café in any capacity are asked to attend the meetings or contact Harry Schafer at 660-0477.
