Local author Eastwood to discuss books on Saturday

Local author Harland Eastwood is going to be at Cow Creek Mercantile on Saturday, May 25, from 2-4 p.m. to visit with customers about his latest book.

Eastwood released his newest book titled “Welcome to Ritzville” this year, which follows the history of the town when Ritzville was the largest shipping point in the world.

It also displays examples of the downtown business area, mainly during harvest season in the summer.

The book is a collection of historic photographs that document the growth of Ritzville while it was the breadbasket of the world. Many of the photographs inside of the book have never been published.
