Northwest Farm Credit Services (FCS) recently awarded the Lind-Ritzville High School Associated Student Body (ASB) a $1,000 Northwest FCS Community Grant. The grant is being used to purchase an electronic reader board that is expected to be installed this summer, prior to the start of the 2013-14 school year.
“As an agricultural area, Northwest Farm Credit Services is an integral part of the population of Lind and Ritzville not only as a corporation but also as faces we see participating in school, church and community events,” said Donna Koch, Lind-Ritzville High School ASB advisor.
Northwest FCS is committed to helping rural communities succeed. This year, Northwest FCS with the support from CoBank, has awarded 34 Rural Grants worth nearly $63,000. Since 2007, Northwest FCS has presented nearly 250 rural grants totaling more than $500,000.
The next Rural Community Grant deadline is Oct. 1 and any customer of Northwest FCS may be eligible. For more information, visit the website at http://northwestfcs.com.
