With nine runs, the Broncos defeated Reardan Monday morning in district baseball play and earned a trip to the state tournament. They open state play Saturday at 10 a.m. at Avista Stadium against Liberty Bell.
Tyler Greenwalt led the offense with four hits and a home run. Bridger Smith and Johnny Hernandez each had doubles.
Cort Ruzicka got the win from the pitcher’s mound with support from Tyler Frederick.
Tuesday night the Broncos were defeated 21-4 by Colfax and finished in third place in the district tournament....
