Locals take to the streets for Bloomsday

An estimated 80 individuals from the local communities took to the streets in Spokane to compete in the 36th annual Bloomsday Run on Sunday, May 5. An overwhelming 47,841 individuals competed in the race.

The youngest local competitor was one-year-old Jacob Bolin, Jr. from Ritzville. The fastest time recorded from the communities was achieved by Tyler O’Brien, a sophomore at Lind-Ritzville High School, finishing under an hour with a time of 56.46.
