CRP sign-up announced

The USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) will be holding a Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general sign-up from May 20 through June 14. Adams County has 42,870.4 acres expiring in 2013 and FSA is asking producers to conduct research before sign-up. Farmers are asked to do a complete field inspection, looking at CRP and observing if it is large groups of sagebrush with a variety of grasses or one dominant type. Farmers must take photos and notes of the area for FSA to accurately assist the farmer during sign-up.
