Residents create block watch

A group of local residents living in the west portion of Sixth and Seventh Avenues have began a Block Watch in cooperation with local law enforcement in an effort to increase safety in the neighborhood. The group of over 10 community members began the block watch committee about a month ago and meet once a month to discuss issues and concerns in the neighborhood.

Delores and Joe Silvay helped coordinate the establishment of a block watch and began with researching how to organize a block watch.
