Junior Livestock Show in Spokane now underway

Over 600 4-H and FFA members will converge on the Spokane County Interstate Fairgrounds May 1-5, for the 78th annual Spokane Junior Livestock Show. Several area youth will be exhibiting their market livestock beef, swine, sheep and goats in the show, which aims to promote agriculture education.

The five-day event includes a variety of livestock activities throughout the weekend. Each exhibitor will compete in Market Conformation and Fitting and Showing.

Market animals will be sold Saturday and Sunday at a live auction open to the public.

The Spokane Jr. Livestock Show has a long-standing tradition of high quality livestock and strong competition. The show’s objective is to offer a unique educational and social experience to the youth of the Inland Northwest.
