Undeberg Invite proves successful for LRS

Over 600 athletes packed the Medical Lake track and field facility to compete in the 8th Annual Undeberg Invitational, hosted by the LRS track team.

Twenty-eight teams and 688 athletes registered for the invitational, which serves as a training meet for the majority of teams. The inclement weather conditions did not stop the LRS team from achieving top finishes at the event, nor did it stop local individuals from volunteering their time to ensure the success of the event.

Two LRS athletes, Matt Fryberger and Ryan Whitmore, continued to shine for the track team by bringing home top places in their individual events and helped the LRS boys’ team earn fourth place. Fryberger swept the sprinting events, taking first place in the 100 and 200-meter races, and Whitmore secured two second place finishes in the 110 and 300-meter hurdles.
