Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
The Adams County Pet Rescue (ACPR) is hosting the third annual Pet Rescue Dog Walk and Fun Run on Sunday, April 21. Check-in and registration begins at 1:30 p.m. and runners begin at 2 p.m., with walkers to begin shortly after.
The run begins at the Zion Philadelphia United Church of Christ and participants will follow a 2.1–mile course. Dogs are optional, and participants are asked to donate blankets, towels, sheets or other items to be used for animal bedding as an entry fee for the run.
Water is provided free of charge and pop is available for purchase. ACPR will also have t-shirts available for $15. Participants also have the option of having a pet photo taken by a local photographer with their dog.
Every registered walker and runner receives a complimentary gift, and is also entered in a drawing. All dogs at the event also have the opportunity to enter the drawing.
There is also a contest for the biggest and smallest dog at the event, as well as a variety of giveaway prizes.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit ACPR.
