Memorial Saturday for Dennis Koch

A memorial service is set for Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. for beloved music teacher Dennis Koch.

The service will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Koch was a longtime instructor in the Ritzville School District, beginning his tenure in 1968.

A 1957 graduate of Ritzville High School, he taught music in the district for 30 years.

A talented musician, Koch had mastered the guitar, piano, brass and wood wind instruments and performed locally long after his retirement.

He often shared his musical talents in local churches and in Hemet, Calif., where he and his wife, Pam, wintered.

Saturday’s service will feature a slide show tribute to Koch.

Those attending will also be encouraged to write down their favorite memories of Koch. Those memories will later be included in a memory book for Pam and their son, Eric.
