Tigercat girls split matches against OH

The LaCrosse-Washtucna girls’ tennis team played a league opening match against Odessa-Harrington on March 26, winning three of the five matches. Odessa-Harrington only has female athletes competing in this year’s tennis season.

In the number one singles match, sophomore Lura Potter lost to Cydnee Kiefer 6-2, 6-4, with a super tiebreaker score of 10-8.

Brooklynn Hostetler took home her second win of the season, defeating Morgan Marchand 6-0, 6-0.

In the number three singles match, Delaney Stewart played a pro-set against Shelby Watkis. Stewart lost to Watkis with an 8-1 score.

Chelsie Kneale and Amber McCabe continue to be a force as the number one doubles team and continued their undefeated season with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Odessa-Harrington’s Isabelle Phillips and Watkis.

Kneale and McCabe also played a pro-set against Molly Schafer and Brianna Johnson and won.
