Chamber seeks volunteers for satellite info booth

Beginning May 24, the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce will offer assistance to visitors passing through the area from a booth being placed on Galbreath Way near the freeway.

This will not replace the downtown office, but is planned to let visitors know there is more to Ritzville than what can be seen from the freeway.

The chamber is currently looking for volunteers willing to be at the booth to answer questions and give directions. The chamber does not have sufficient staff to man the booth and the downtown office at the same time.

The booth will be open on Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. There will be maps, flyers and brochures provided by the chamber and local businesses. The information booth, formerly used for Blues Fest, will be improved and placed at no charge on the lot owned by Baker Construction between Taco Del Mar and the Best Western Plus Bronco Inn.

Volunteers or groups of volunteers can sign up for a day or more each month. Volunteers will be accepted on a one-time basis. Individuals interested in volunteering can sign up by calling 659-1936, in person at 111 West Main Avenue or by email at [email protected].
