Lady Broncos fall in opener at sub regionals

After taking an 8-5 lead at the end of the first quarter, the LRS Lady Broncos lost their opening round sub regional tournament game to DeSales, 38-21 on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Statistics from the game were not made available to The Journal prior to press time.

The Lady Broncos were trailing in the contest 15-10 at the end of the first half.

They advance in the tournament’s consolation bracket to face Asotin on Friday, Feb. 15, at Walla Walla Community College. The game is slated for 3 p.m. This is a loser out game.

If they win, they will play on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Whitman College.

Should they prevail again, they will play on Monday for the right to advance to the one-day regional basketball tournament on Friday, Feb. 22.
