Caring Neighbors, a nonprofit entity established by Big Bend Electric Co-op, recently donated $500 to the Washtucna School District Reading Program.
The Reading Program is designed to help promote independent reading by immersing each student in books.
This is the 21st consecutive year that this program has been in place.
Big Bend Electric Co-op members have donated the funds for Caring Neighbors.
