Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
The Lind Town Council unanimously approved the six-year transportation improvement program for the Town of Lind during the regularly scheduled council meeting on Jan. 22. The program includes 30 proposed projects for a total project cost of $794,857 with funding planned, but the funding sources remain unknown.
The projects planned for 2013 include a complete reconstruction of 6th Street between E and S, and pre-level and chip seal on 6th Street between Wilbur and E Street. Sixth Street is currently in the process of being reclassified as an arterial street.
The list of projects proposed for 2014 include pre-level and chip seal on 7th Street, an upgrade to hot mix asphalt (HMA) and crack seal on 2nd Street, chip seal on 5th Street, pre-level and patch work on 4th Street, and crack seal and bituminous surface treatment (BST) on 3rd Street.
In 2015, the proposed projects include crack seal/seal coat on N Street, BST on Florenz, crack seal/chip seal on Wilbur, and crack seal/chip seal at two segments on E Street. Projects planned for 2016 include crack seal/chip seal on L Street, crack seal on I Street, crack seal/chip seal on two segments of S Street, crack seal on 1st Street, and crack seal/chip seal on 3rd Street.
Five projects are planned for 2017 and include improvements of crack seal/chip seal on A Street and Main Street, seal coat on Neilson, chip seal on Van Marter, and pre-level, patch work and chip seal on Michigan.
The final projects rounding out the six-year transportation plan are BST on four streets: Florenz, Iowa Street, Clarence Street and Vulcan Street.
