Edgar Allen Deaton

Edgar (Ed) Allen Deaton died at the age of 76 on Tuesday, Jan. 1.

He was born on Nov. 13, 1936, to Allen and Elise Deaton, as the eldest of two sons. He grew up in the eastern part of Washington state. He attended grammar school and high school, with a class of 19 students, in Lind. He became a life long Coug at Washington State University in Pullman. After a short career in the Air Force, he worked for Boeing in the atomic research branch.
