Lloyd M. Butler

Lloyd M. Butler died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 5, at Life Care Center of Ritzville at the age of 88.

He was born to William and Anna Butler in Lind on April 11, 1924. 

He lived his entire life in Lind and was beloved in the community.  At the age of 12, he worked at Carlock’s Grocery in the evenings and on Saturdays.  He told great stories about his childhood in Lind, growing up during the Great Depression.  He gave his mother fits because he liked to sneak away to the stockyards near the railroad and visit with the hobos, even sharing their ground-owl stew now and t...
