Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
Sandra Kaye (Kulm) Robertson died at the age of 58, in Beaverton, Ore., on Saturday, Dec. 15.
She was born on May 29, 1954, to Arthur W. and Wanetta M. Kulm of Lind. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Lind High School in 1972.
She attended Eastern Washington University (EWU) majoring in fashion design. While at EWU, she met the love of her life, Scott Robertson.
They were married in 1974, and celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary this past June.
Her husband’s career took them throughout the Northwest, living 20 years in Beaverton, Ore., before moving to Dallas, Texas, in 2008. In 2012, they retired and moved back to Beaverton to be closer to family and enjoy the Northwest.
She was a devoted and compassionate grandmother, mother, wife, and sister. She believed strongly in family culture and worked tirelessly to ensure her house was truly a family home. She greatly enjoyed her children especially her two grandchildren, Peyton and Dillon who were the light of her life. She loved to be with them, shop for them, and most of all, love them. She was an avid antique shopper of items that reminded her of her rural upbringing and German family heritage.
Relaxation she found in the family camping trips to the Oregon Coast and Montana. Her love and friendship will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur W. and Wanetta M. Kulm; and infant sister, Patricia.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; son, Douglas Scott (Katie) Robertson of Bozeman, Mont.; daughters, Wendy Denise Robertson of Portland, Ore., and Julie Ann Robertson of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Peyton Ann and Dillon Scott Robertson; brother, Darrel Kulm of Lind; sister, Wanda Rehn of Lind.
Per her request there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Portland American Cancer Society.
