Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
We have not had any measurable snow yet, but it is on the way. In recent years, the city snowplows and grader have had incidents while plowing that have resulted in damage to parked vehicles along the curb.
It is requested of all citizens, if there measureable slow fall and the city crews begin plowing in the city, you move all your vehicles off the city streets in a timely manner as not to hinder the plowing efforts.
There are numerous seldom-used vehicles, cars, trucks, tractors, camp trailers, RV’s, car trailers and others that are parked on the city streets. These should be moved off the city streets for the winter as they all hinder snow removal.
In the event we receive a substantial snowfall (4-6 inches) the city may make an effort to contact the registered owners of such vehicles and ask the vehicles be moved timely.
If you wait until we have a substantial snowfall, you may not be able move your vehicle timely. If we are unable to locate you timely and your vehicle is in the way, your vehicle will be towed at your expense.
Please take a few minutes to move these seldom-used vehicles off the city streets today before they hinder snow removal. We do not want to create a financial burden on anyone, but will tow these vehicles at the owner’s expense if we have to.
