Donald E. Wright

Donald E. Wright died Nov. 18 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa, at the age of 78.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1934, in Charles City, Iowa, to Joe and Grace (Huffman) Wright. He was raised in the home of his step-father, Ted McDonald, attending school and graduating from high school in Charles City, Iowa.

In 1953, he joined the Air Force and served until 1957. During his time in the Air Force, he met his wife, Arla, in Washington state and they were married on June 15, 1956, in Ritzville. Together they had two children, Donald Jr. and Donette.
