Powers celebrate 50 years of marriage

Dave and Sally Powers were married on Feb. 3, 1962, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ritzville.

On Feb. 3, the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Sun Valley, Idaho, with a day of skiing on Baldy. The ski patrol had signs denoting the 50th anniversary at the top of the chairlifts.

Saturday night, Feb. 4, a small dinner was held at the Roosevelt Grille in Ketchum, Idaho, for family and friends.

In attendance for the celebration were: Dave and Carla Braun of Ritzville; Mike and Harriet Lynch of Ritzville; groomsman, Monte McClure and his wife, Beverly, of Boise, Idaho; bridesmaid, Betsy Hall and her husband, Kirk, of Boise, Idaho; John and Sharon Wellsandt of Ketchum, Idaho; Christine Powers; Andrea and Chuck Patterson, and their children, Emma, Zachary, Sam and Isabelle; and Nathan Powers; all of Boise, Idaho.
