The LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus Tigercats knocked off the Garfield-Palouse football team on their home turf on Friday, Nov. 2, with a score of, 58-38.
The win moved the Tigercats into third in the Southeast 1B standings, and in position to compete in the state playoffs.
The Tigercats now face Almira-Coulee/Hartline (ACH) in the first round state playoff game in Coulee City on Friday, Nov. 9, with game time at 7 p.m.
ACH is number one in the Northeast 1B South league, with a league record of 6-1, and an overall season record of 8-2.
ACH suffered an early season loss to Liberty Christian, 0-46, and the Tigercats recently lost to the same team with a score of 0-78. The playoff game is a must-win game for the Tigercats to continue the football season.
ACH is located at 413 North Fourth Street in Coulee City.
