LRS athlete encourages support for levy

I am currently a sophomore at Lind-Ritzville High School and I participated in track last year. I love the sport and plan on taking it the rest of my high school years. Although, it is disappointing that we don’t have any home meets because of our current track. All of the meets are on All-Weather tracks. Even the Underberg meet that we host is held at Medical Lake instead of in our hometown of Ritzville. Many people come to track meets that would bring business to our small town if we get a new track.

As a member of the track team, I go to all of our practices in the spring after school. It would bring great benefit to all of the runners if we could practice on the same material of track that all of our meets are on. An All-Weather track in Ritzville would also be a great resource for locals who would like to use it as well and would be an excellent investment for our community.
