Technology Fund needs more support

Ritzville High School recently received some of the money necessary to purchase some new laptops for their classroom. Fellow alumnus gave the money to the Technology Fund to help give the students more up-to-date computers. When I was going to college my mother Frances bought me a computer, this lead to my getting a job at Microsoft.

Students need to know how to use computer to get a job in life both by using them to find a job online and to know how to use them in business. The Technology Fund at the school is important and there is still more we can do to improve the way our students learn to use them. Software updates, more laptops and Internet access still are needed.

I encourage those who are interested in making a donation to the Technology Fund to do so knowing that we can make a difference in education. Last time we did a computer fund we raised the money to buy computers for the school library. This helped out considerably by giving students the ability to use them during school hours outside of the classroom instruction.

Please send a check to Ritzville High School and make it out to Ritzville School District.
