Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
I have heard from several people that they will not be keeping Dr. Jill Jenkins on as a working doctor at the clinic after the end of September. I was very saddened to hear this. I have seen Dr. Jenkins for a while now and it has been great using the clinic as my health care facility. I found her very personable and also very informative.
I have looked for a doctor that I could really connect with for over 12 years, since I moved here from the west side of the state, she came and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Now she is leaving, it is sad we are not given a choice and have to leave Ritzville for the medical care we want. I know I am not alone in this; many of the people in Ritzville have voiced the same feelings of no choice.
I have avoided using the clinic prior to her arrival because I did not care to see the PAs there nor did I like for feel confident in the care of either of the doctors at the clinic downtown who were at the hospital clinic prior to being downtown. I will be looking in Cheney, Spokane or in Davenport for new medical care after the first of next month.
It is a sad day for the other people of Ritzville who thought maybe we might have a choice in our health care. I guess we do have a choice but it will not be here.
Terri Cody, Ritzville
