Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
The Nazarene Church is hosting a women’s Bible study class entitled “James: Mercy Triumphs” beginning on Monday, Sept. 17. The class explores the New Testament Book of James with guidance from best-selling author Beth Moore.
Beth Moore has written many best-selling Bible studies on a variety of topics and is a national speaker/teacher through Living Proof Ministries and simulcasts. Her daughter, Melissa Moore Fitzpatrick, authored the research articles for the class.
The study offers a five-tiered approach for each individual to choose their own level of participation based around personal schedules.
The levels of participation go from just as little as coming and watching the videos, to completing the homework, to handwriting out the book of James, to reading articles of research, or to actually memorizing the whole book of James.
It is a sixteen-week session beginning Sept. 17 and 18. Classes are offered on Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. Childcare only for Tuesday afternoons is yet to be secured.
Classes are held at the Nazarene Church located at 108 West Fourth Avenue in Ritzville.
Cost of the study book is $17, which includes tax. Those interested in the class are asked to register this week with Amy Galbreath at 659-0778 or [email protected] in order to have books available at the first session on Monday and Tuesday.
