Levy process to support track renovation is ‘legalized theft’

Jim Lisk, in this newspaper last month on August 16 wrote, “To even suggest that ‘Project 56’ be financed by increasing property taxes by majority vote is nothing more than another definition for ‘Burglary’…”

Free market economists call Lisk’s burglary, “legalized theft.” To do what the Ritzville School board has agreed to do is legal and it is a form of thievery.

Our laws have been amended for quite some time to allow one group of people to force another group of people to pay for a project the first group wishes to enjoy but either can not or will not pay for themselves.
