June 15, 5:02 p.m. – Moses Lake complainant advised they went to Lind to check on their grandchildren after hearing their mother had been arrested. The children were being watched by the mother’s boyfriend. The complainant advised when they arrived at the house there was no water or electricity in the residence and the house smelled of marijuana. Complainant advised they have the children in their custody. Sergeant Troy Mock advised the complainant to contact CPS with this information.
June 15, 7:48 a.m. – While on patrol in Lind Deputy Ben Buriak observed a subject driving who was suspended. Dep. Buriak stopped and arrested Kari Rene Bryan. The subject was later booked into the Adams County jail for driving while license suspended third degree. Subject was also cited for no proof of insurance. The vehicle was removed by a licensed driver.
June 14, 4:28 p.m. – Ritzville complainant came into the Sheriffs office and reported that on June 12 someone had damaged their vehicle by keying it and cracking the windshield. Deputy Buriak spoke with the complainant about the damage to the vehicle and determined the estimated damage is to be about $1,500.
June 14, 3:24 p.m. – Washtucna complainant came into the Sheriffs office and advised they wanted a subject trespassed from their properties in Washtucna. Complainant advised the subject had been told to leave two separate times and escorted off the property on June 7. Deputy Buriak contacted the listed subject and advised they were trespassed from the property and if they return they could be arrested for trespassing. Subject advised they understood.
June 14, 2:43 p.m. – Ritzville complainant requested agency assistance to give a PBT test to an employee due to being involved in an incident with a company vehicle. Deputy Buriak contacted Sergeant Brian Taylor regarding the assist and was approved. Dep. Buriak contacted complainant and listed subject on West Alder Avenue for the test. The subject blew into the PBT and no alcohol was found.
June 14, 11:18 a.m. – While on patrol Deputy Jeffery Lane found an irrigation end gun spraying over the road on North Roxboro Road. Dep. Lane contacted the listed owner who advised they will come take care of the problem.
June 13, 7:16 p.m. – Lind complainant called with a concern about a horse that was being kept in a small corral. Sergeant Brian Taylor checked the horses on West First Street. There are seven horses on the property and two are kept in a separate smaller pen. All horses appear to be fine.
June 13, 5:54 p.m. – Othello complainant reported damage to their property on North Main Street in Washtucna. Deputy Dan Verhey and Trooper Shawn Pichette arrived on scene. After investigation, Tiffanie Colleen Fulton-Rodgers was arrested for assault fourth degree domestic violence.
June 13, 5:09 p.m. – Leane Alene McCormick was booked for a DUI charge.
June 12, 9:09 p.m. – Dispatch advised of a juvenile walking southbound at North Paha-Packard Road. Subject was refusing to get back into the vehicle. Deputy Ned Bernath contacted the subjects and juvenile advised they wanted to hurt themselves. Dep. Bernath contacted East Adams Rural Hospital (EARH), juvenile was detained and transported to Spokane by Adams County Mental Health (ACMH).
June 12, 7:23 p.m. – While on patrol Deputy Bernath was flagged down by a Ritzville complainant on East Third Avenue. Complainant advised they were stabbed in the back. Dep. Bernath requested emergency medical services and assisted Ritzville Officer Hunter Klewin take a male subject into custody. As soon as the scene was safe, Dep. Bernath cleared.
June 12, 1:52 p.m. – Deputy Verhey responded to a traffic accident on West Lind-Warden Road. The vehicle failed to make a corner and went on the north side of the roadway. The vehicle rolled one time and came to rest on its wheels. The driver and passenger were transported to EARH with no life threatening injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
June 12, 12:41 p.m. – Deputy Verhey responded to a suspicious 911 hang up call on North Plager Road. Upon contact Dep. Verhey found a juvenile that was having difficulty regarding the passing of a family member. Dep. Verhey provided the complainant with a number to contact ACMH.
June 11, 10:22 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised some of the neighbor’s were at the complainant’s residence trying to pick a fight with a male subject. Deputy Adolfo Coronado arrived on scene and spokae to all parties involved. It was determined that this incident stemmed from a previous burglary call. The subjects in question advised they were just writing down the license plate number from a vehicle they believed may have been involved in the burglary. They left the area a short time later.
June 11, 7:41 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised of a possible burglary at their residence on Apple Alley Lane. Sergeant Mock responded and was advised the residence had been entered and items taken. Sgt. Mock generated a report and cleared the scene.
June 11, 12:58 a.m. –
Complainant from Cheney advised of a possible assault on East Schoessler Road in Ritzville. Deputy Aaron Madison made contact with the complainant who advised of a robbery with a knife had occurred. Dep. Madison generated a report and cleared without incident.
June 9, 1:45 a.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Madison located a suspicious vehicle on North Highway 261. The vehicle was unoccupied with the key in the ignition. Sergeant Stacy Flynn and Dep. Madison checked the area and were unable to locate anyone.
June 9, 1:11 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a fire at the campground on East Second Street in Lind. Complainant advised the fire was getting out of control and oil was being poured on the fire. Sergeant Flynn and Deputy Madison arrived on scene. The fire was not out of control and no one was pouring anything on the fire. Subjects were told to keep the fire at its current level. Subjects advised they understood and the officers cleared without incident.
June 8, 9:02 p.m. – Sergeant Mock responded to a suspicious 911 hang up call on North Plager Road in Ritzville. Sgt. Mock made contact with the subject and the subject advised they had fallen asleep and the call was an accident. The subject appeared to be okay. Sgt. Mock cleared the scene.
June 8, 12:23 p.m. – Hatton complainant came into the Sheriffs department regarding a possible fraud situation. Complainant advised Deputy Roy Montalvo that they received an email and a check for $2,397. Complainant further advised they were instructed to cash the check, keep $200 in cash, spend $100 at Wal-Mart and send the rest to another shopper via Western Union.
June 7, 9:59 p.m. – Lind complainant reported a male subject on East Fifth Street with unknown medical problems. Sergeant Flynn made contact with the subject that appeared to be highly intoxicated and refused medical treatment. Sgt. Flynn remained on scene until another subject arrived to transport the victim.
June 7, 9:10 p.m. – Lind complainant requested extra patrols near the Lind Derby grounds. Complainant advised the exterior lights are on and a suspicious vehicle are on the grounds.
June 7, 8:06 p.m. – WSP advised of a cow on the freeway ramp. Trooper Pichette was able to move the cow back to the pasture. Sergeant Flynn contacted the owner of the cow to advise of some needed fence repairs.
June 7, 7:23 a.m. – Benge complainant advised of several street signs down in the roadway near Thavis crossing on East Ralston-Benge Road. Deputy Lane notified Public Works about the situation.
June 7, 5:48 a.m. – Union Pacific Railroad advised of a calf on the right of way at a location on East Ralston-Benge Road. Dispatch made several attempts to located the owner of the animal.
June 6, 10:24 a.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Lane located two loose cows on North Marcellus Road in Ritzville. Dep. Lane contacted the listed owner and they were en route to retrieve the cows.
June 6, 7:50 a.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Lane found a vehicle parked on the side of East Danekas Road with scrap in it. Dep. Lane generated a report.
June 5, 6:40 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious circumstance on East Harder Road near Ritzville. Complainant advised of a subject using a large backhoe and truck to remove metal from the location. Complainant was unable to get a hold of the property owner. Deputy Bernath made contact with the subject at the location. Subject advised they work for a scrapping business in Grant County and were hired by the owner to remove the scrap metal. Subject was in a vehicle owned by the business and Dep. Bernath cleared.
June 5, 4:13 p.m. – Lind complainant called to report that they had been bitten by a dog on South Van Marter Avenue. Sergeant Mock made contact with the complainant and filed the report.
June 5, 9:12 a.m. – Grant County Sheriffs department requested agency assistance on East Tokio Road with locating a subject. Deputy Lane responded.
June 4, 7:24 p.m. – Lind complainant reported a neighbors’ Shih-Tzu mix dog came onto her property on West Third Street and assaulted their Shih-Tzu dog. The complainant’s dog was cut and injured. Deputy Verhey made contact with the listed dog owner and gave a verbal warning regarding allowing the dog to run at large. Dep. Verhey warned the dog owner that further problems could result in a dog letter and a possible citation being issued.
June 4, 10:30 a.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Lane found the irrigation end gun spraying completely across the road at West Providence Road and North Johnson Road in Ritzville. Dep. Lane contacted the responsible who will take care of the problem.
June 3, 10:05 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of two flashing lights and sandbags at a location on East Sackman Road. Deputy Madison located the two flashing amber lights and two sandbags at the location. Dep. Madison returned the items to Public Works and sent an email about the situation.
June 3, 8:54 p.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Buriak observed a down road sign at North Snyder Road and East Gering Road. The post was split and broken at the base. Dep. Buriak contacted listed subjects who advised yesterday some kids on a 4-wheeler ran into the sign. The subjects didn’t know who the kids were. It appeared the kids were okay when they left. Public Works was notified of the down sign.
June 3, 8:50 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised that while they were out of town over the weekend someone opened a gate to their fence and two of their cows got out near East Tokio Road. Complainant further advised they are not concerned about someone trespassing but about the two cows that are now at large. Complainant advised they will be looking for them and will call if they find them.
June 3, 12:59 p.m. – Lind complainant requested contact regarding a cell phone situation. Deputy Verhey made contact with the complainant on West Sixth Street. Complainant advised of loaning a cell phone to a male subject who had not returned it. Dep. Verhey made contact with the subject who said they would return the phone.
June 3, 10:49 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a 700-pound red steer with an ear tag that got out of the pasture near East Hiller Road in Ritzville.
June 3, 9:04 a.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Verhey located an open door on West Third Street in Lind. Dep. Verhey contacted the responsible party and advised them of the situation.
