With football starting this week, community members in Ritzville, Lind and Sprague can once again expect to see players out selling Bronco Gold Cards door-to-door this weekend. This is the team’s major fundraiser for the year that helps with the high cost of running a football program.
“Our communities have been great to help support this fundraiser over the past few years,” said head coach Greg Whitmore. “Between the Ritzville businesses that offer discounts on the card and the citizens that purchase a card, 32 players were able to save $200 each off the cost of football team camp registration this past summer. We appreciate the support very much. I know there are some people here that just focus on the negatives about our little towns, but this is a great place to live.”
The cost of a Bronco Gold Card remains at $20 this year. Whitmore added, “The best thing about this fundraiser is that those that buy the Bronco card can get their money back many times over during the whole year and it helps promote some local businesses.”
