Get Ready to Run: Sign up now for first Ritzville Rodeo Romp 5K/10K

A 5K and 10K fun run/walk tops the new events for the Ritzville Rodeo Association during the Labor Day weekend festivities. The 2012 Ritzville Rodeo Romp takes place before the parade on Saturday, Sept. 1, beginning at 8 a.m. at the intersection of Columbia Street and Main Avenue.

The divisions for the rodeo romp are separated by age with the first division being for individuals eight to 15 years old. The other two categories are for individuals between 16-30 years of age, and a 31 and over division.

Pre-registration fees, due by Friday, Aug. 17, are $8 to participate in the run and $16 for participation and a Ritzville Rodeo Romp t-shirt. Late registration fees are $10 for the run only and $20 for the run and a t-shirt.

The special, custom designed t-shirt is guaranteed for all registered runners by Aug. 17 for the rodeo romp. A limited amount of t-shirts are available for late registration and are based on a first come, first serve basis.

Sizes of t-shirts are small, medium, large, X-large and XX-large.

Entry forms can be printed from the Ritzville Rodeo Association website or can be sent electronically to interested participants. The Ritzville Rodeo Association website can be found at http://www.ritzvillerodeo.net63.net or to have a form sent, email [email protected].

Entries and checks should be mailed to the Ritzville Rodeo Association at 1979 East Gering Road in Ritzville. Checks should be made payable to the Ritzville Rodeo Association and all fees are nonrefundable.

All entries postmarked after Aug. 17 or received the day of the race are considered to be late registrations. One entry form must be completed for each person participating in the fun run/walk. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian’s signature on the entry form.
