Fall sports meeting slated

Parents and athletes are reminded to attend the fall sports preseason meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Gilson Gymnasium. The meeting is for any athletes involved in high school football and volleyball.

A bus to provide transportation for athletes and parents is leaving Lind High School at 6 p.m.

The meeting begins with turning in paperwork and fees, followed by a general meeting led by the athletic director Greg Whitmore. During this time Whitmore plans to discuss the athletic transportation for the season, followed by a question and answer segment.

From 7:30-8 p.m., the football and volleyball teams will have a parent meeting and discuss the code of conduct. Practice and game schedules for the season will also be distributed during this time.

All students participating in an extra-curricular activity must purchase an Associated Student Body (ASB) card. A high school ASB card is $35, middle school is $30, and the sport fee per sport is $5.

Middle school athletes can pick up and turn in paperwork and fees during the high school preseason meeting.
