Daniel William Sullivan

Daniel “Dan” William Sullivan passed away on Thursday, July 12 at Life Care Center in Lewiston, Idaho at the age of 88.

He was born February 20, 1924, to George E. and Hazel (Long) Sullivan on the farm near Washtucna. He graduated from Washtucna High School in 1942 and entered the United States Army in 1943 and served until 1946, during which time he served in Europe as one of General Patton’s drivers.

On February 29, 1948, he married Gladys Wegner. He farmed for the Barr Ranch before the couple made their home in Cavendish, Idaho, where he farmed for over 60 years.

He loved to fly his own Cessna 172 airplane.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, George and Hazel; sisters, Audrey Winn and Beulah Blankenship; brothers, George Sullivan and Bemie Sullivan; daughter, Joanne (Ralph) McAllister.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Lewiston, Idaho; daughter, Lynda (Bob) Roberts; sons, Randy (Durelle) Sullivan and Dale (Christy) Sullivan; brothers, Syd (Janice) Sullivan and Clark (Carol) Sullivan; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren

A memorial service is set to be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 920 Eighth Avenue in Lewiston, Idaho.
