Albert Seaton II

Albert Ellsworth Seaton II, passed away at the age of 71, on Saturday, July 29, at his home in Ritzville after a hard fought battle with metastatic colon cancer.

He was born in Seattle on October 25, 1940, to Albert and Mary Seaton. He was the oldest child and is survived by John Seaton, Ed Seaton and Marriane Eldevick.

On April 16, 1965, he married the love of his life, Vivien Seaton. They were blessed with four children, Keri Sanders, Deborah Kohler, Albert Seaton III and Dawn Brehm, and eight grandchildren.

He worked for Shea Homes before retiring in 2006. Upon retirement, he and Vivien moved to Ritzville. He became an active member of the community.

Prior to being diagnosed with cancer he was president of the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce and was an active member of the Tree Board, Planning Committee, East Adams Rural Hospital Foundation and was instrumental in the implementation of the new Art Center.

He had really hoped to help Ritzville grow and strongly believed in its future. It is said by friends and family that he was always an avid reader, creative thinker and believed in keeping his mind active.

Memorial services are to be held on Sunday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 108 West Second Avenue in Ritzville.
