AAUW DONATION. Vickie Kramer and Kylie Fullmer display the Scholastic books purchased through a donation from the local AAUW chapter. The Ritzville School District and Ritzville Public Library split the donation and purchased over 150 books.
The Ritzville American Association of University Women (AAUW) donated over $1,400 in Scholastic dollars to the Ritzville Public Library and the Ritzville School District.
The group raised the funds during the book sale at the annual AAUW Holiday Bazaar that is held in December.
To date, the library has purchased 92 books and used $600.57 of the donated money.
The books purchased by the library are distributed as prizes for each child in the summer reading program that made their reading goal.
Each child who makes their summer reading goal receives a free book along with other prizes.
