The Nation of Patriots are sending the American flag on its third annual journey around the country to honor the United States armed forces.
The Nation of Patriots is inviting service members from all military branches to join in the celebration as guests of honor.
The celebration pays tribute to the entirety of America’s Armed Forces: for all they have done and continue to do, for the sacrifices they have endured and to all of the families that stand beside them.
The flag arrives from Latus Motors Harley-Davidson in Gladstone, Ore., to Rattlesnake Mountain Harley-Davidson in Kennewick, Wash., on Monday, Aug. 6 at 3 p.m. A flag transfer ceremony is performed followed by comments from local dignitaries.
A time to sign-up is allowed for those interested in escorting the flag from Kennewick to Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson in Spokane on Aug. 7.
A suggested donation of $5 is requested per rider.
The flag and its escorts will make a stop in Ritzville at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, before continuing on to Spokane. Interested riders are welcome to join at this point as well.
The Nation of Patriots is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation founded in 2009 by Bill Sherer. A complete map of the 2012 Patriot Tour and more information about the organization can be found on the website at http://www.nationofpatriots.org.
