Farmers market vouchers offered for seniors during July 25 sign up

Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington (AACCW) is signing up seniors who qualify for the Senior Farmers Market Voucher Program at the H.E. Gritman Center on Wednesday, July 25 from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Each qualifying senior has the opportunity to receive $40 in vouchers at the distribution site. The vouchers may be used at approved Farmers’ Markets only in Washington state to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and honey.

Vouchers are valid from June to October of the current calendar year. Seniors must present their Washington state drivers license or ID card, be at least 60-years old and meet the income guidelines.

A one-person income must be under $1,723 per month and $20,665 yearly. A two-person income must be under $2,333 per month and $27,991 yearly.

The number of vouchers is limited to each distribution site and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
