LaCrosse High School grads earn awards, scholarships

LaCrosse High School recently announced the awards and scholarships that were given at their 2012 graduation commencement ceremonies.

Jake Aune: All Star Classic Games Scholarship and the LaCrosse Dollars for Scholars Scholarship.

Anne Fleming: Valedictorian Award, LaCrosse High School Athlete of the Year, Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award, President’s Award for Educational Excellence, All Star Classic Games Scholarship, Torgeson Memorial Award, Whitman County Library Teen Advisory Board Scholarship, LaCrosse Community Club Scholarship, Washington State Groundwater Association Scholarship, AmeriCorps Grant for Community Service, Eastern Washington University President Scholarship, Coach Hallett Memorial Scholarship, Richard L. Roberts Memorial Scholarship, Urgel and Virginia Bell Memorial Scholarship, LaCrosse Dollars for Scholars Scholarship and the LaCrosse Masonic Scholarship.

Caleb Hannas: Kelli Scharpenberg Memorial Scholarship, Ken Trout Memorial Scholarship, LaCrosse Dollars for Scholars Scholarship and the Clemente Barber Memorial Scholarship.

Taylor Martin: AmeriCorps Grant for Community Service, LaCrosse Dollars for Scholars Scholarship and the LaCrosse Masonic Scholarship.

Ambreayia Tackett: Colfax Thrifty Grandmothers Scholarship, Robert A. Closson, M.D. Scholarship Award and the LaCrosse Dollars for Scholars Scholarship.

Other awards given at the graduation ceremony were: Justin Wargo: LaCrosse High School Male Athlete of the Year. Class of 2012 Community Award: LaCrosse Community Pride
