Eleven AFS Intercultural Program students spent their last full day in the U.S. in Ritzville on Saturday. They went to Big Bend Bowl, ate dinner at Casuela’s restaurant, and watched a movie at The New Ritz Theatre. Students attended an end of stay orientation at the home of Paul and Kathy McAnally. Pictured are (front, left to right), Ploy from Thailand, Saskia from Germany, Nozomi from Japan, Catherine from France, and Simge from Turkey. Back row: volunteer Carrie Chicken, Pedro from Chile, Kristin from Norway, Juame from Spain, Francesco from Italy, Pablo from Spain, Luise from Germany, and volunteer Paul McAnally. The students attended school in Lind, Ritzville, Walla Walla, Waitsburg, Dayton, Spokane, and in Enterprise and Wallowa, Ore. The students left Ritzville early Sunday morning bound for Sea-Tac, where they began their journey to their home countries. AFS is still accepting host family applications for the coming school year.
