Kathleen C. Ottmar, died at the age of 71 at Holy Family Hospital on Friday, June 8.
She was born February 18, 1941, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Arthur and Lorentina Hirning, and lived there until she was about four-years-old, when her family settled in Ritzville.
She met Arlo Gene Ottmar and they were married on March 6, 1961.
She worked various jobs in the community, including working for the phone company, owner of the Nauditts Grocery Store, managed the deli at Harvest Foods, and even tried selling furniture at Woody’s Second Hand Store.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Arlo Gene Ottmar, and her parents, Arthur and Lorentina Hirning.
She is survived by two sons, Eric (Kellie) Ottmar and Tim (D’Lynn) Ottmar; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean and Carolyn, and a brother, Jim (Sylvia).
A celebration of life is planned on June 20, at 5 p.m. at the Eagles in Ritzville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in her name to Project 56 in c/o Kris Harder 219 W Main Ritzville, WA 99169.
