Ritzville AAUW awards scholarship

AAUW recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Renae Harder. She is the daughter of Maureen Harder, and J.C. Harder, of Ritzville.

Harder is studying in her third year at Syracuse University in New York. The Ritzville AAUW offers a scholarship to a junior in college who is preparing for a career in math, science or technology.

Fundraisers for this scholarship come from proceeds at the May and September used book sales, plus raffle basket sales at the annual holiday bazaar. The public support of these events makes the scholarship possible. The dollar amount varies with number of scholarships awa...
