Trio running across America in Lind on Friday

Even before the demolition derby begins on Friday, Lind can expect three very special visitors to be passing through town. Jennifer Bradley, Justin Faulke and Mike Samuelson are participating in the Run Across America on Trails race, which began on May 30 in Westport, Wash. and concludes in Delaware, 3,360 miles later.

The trio is following the remaining portion of the John Wayne Trail through the Lind area and until it ends many states later. The runners can be expected to be passing through, rather quickly, Friday between noon and 1 p.m.

Samuelson visited the area a few weeks ago with his parents to scout the trail and approve any detours the group has to take during the run.
