Six golfers advance to district match

The Broncos are sending six golfers to the district match on Monday following a strong showing this week at a sub-district event at Meadow Wood and Liberty Lake.

Freshman Trevor Jantz was the story of the day for the Broncos as he shot a personal best of 85. He had a 47 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine.

“It was amazing to watch, the kid was just on fire on the back nine,” said head coach Nick Weishaar.

Jantz finished fourth out of 56 boys.

Colby Starring, 90, Logan Morley, 100, and Drew Hartz, 101, also advanced.

On the girls’ side, Kristine Lamping and Amanda Yockey qualified to move on.

Lamping fnished fourth with a 107. Yockey shot a 140.
