Lind High School senior, Mackenzie Ellis, has been awarded the Archer Daniels Midland Company scholarship of $1,000. Ellis is the daughter of Brian and Suzette Ellis and plans to pursue a degree in Agriculture Communications after high school graduation.
The National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization offers several scholarships to members who plan to further their education after high school. Scholarships are available to match a wide variety of skills, experiences, career goals and higher-education plans. In 2012, the National FFA Organization offered $1.9 million in scholarships designed to fit the diversity of the applicants.
Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. The selection process takes into account the whole student including FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics.
