Eleanor June Deking

Eleanor June Deking passed away April 18, at 91 years of age.

She was born Eleanor June Thiel to Jacob and Anna Thiel on June 28, 1920. She was the youngest of six children.

The family farmed the Thiel homestead just west of Ritzville. She attended Ritzville Schools and graduated from Ritzville High School in 1939.

On Oct. 4, 1943, she married the love of her life, Walter Carl Deking. She and Walt had one son, Dennis. Dennis was the center of the universe, as far as she was concerned. She was a devoted parent and worked diligently to raise a bright young man.
