Sheep producers announce field day

The Spokane Area Sheep Producer Association (SASPA) holds its annual field day in Sprague on Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Participants are to meet at the Rustemeyer farm, north of Sprague on State Route 23, at 9 a.m. and caravan to the Clemenson and Swannack farms during the day. Youth and adult sheep producers throughout the area are welcome to attend.

The agenda includes flock management, facilities, lambing management, production tips on handling sheep, health practices, fencing, cost control and making the operation user friendly.
