Ritzville Arbor Day celebration Friday

A Ritzville Arbor Day celebration has been scheduled for Friday, April 27, in the Ritzville City Park beginning at 10 a.m.

The opening and welcome ceremony is performed by Mayor Linda Kadlec and the Boy Scout Troop is doing the presentation of the colors. The Mayor is then to read the Ritzville Arbor Day proclamation and receive Tree City USA award from Mike Schrag, Tree Board chairman.

Following the Tree City award is the 2012 outstanding community member award presentation. The Tree Board also plans to present three contest winners and have them read their essays.
