Jordan Schultz, a junior at Ritzville High School, has been selected to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Houston, Texas on July 22-31. Schultz has been invited to this conference because of her academic achievement, leadership ability and dedication to the profession of medicine.
After graduation, Schultz hopes to attend Washington State University where she plans to major in equine sciences and minor in veterinarian sciences. Schultz expects the trip to cost approximately $2,700 and must earn these funds by May 11 in order to attend the event.
The featured speaker at the event is Dr. Connie Mariano, who served as the White House doctor from 1992-2001.
Schultz stated in a flyer that, I would like to attend this very much because I believe that it would be a great opportunity to help me achieve success in the future.
Schultz is scheduled to be the guest speaker at the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce general membership meeting on May 10.
For those individuals interested in donating any amount of funds to help Schultz with the trip, contact Schultz’s mother, Brenda Hilzer, at 509-230-2161.
