Fire siren set off by weather

When the thunder and lightning rolled through on Monday night about 11 p.m. it triggered the city’s fire alarm. There was not an emergency.

Both area fire chiefs, Andy LeFevre and Scott Kemble, said the fire siren is intended as a way to notify volunteer firefighters of an emergency in the event the pager system fails.
